September 22, 2025 – California Community Power (“CC Power”), a joint powers authority representing nine community choice aggregators (“CCAs”) serving over 2.7 million customers and 30,000 GWh annually across California, today issued a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for price forecasting and valuation tool services to enhance and complement its valuation services as it runs Requests for Offers (“RFO”) on behalf of its 9 member CCAs. CC Power is seeking a) CAISO LMP and commodities forecasts; and b) a potential valuation tool platform.
CC Power issues this RFP for wholesale market electricity and commodity price forecasting and valuation tool services to enhance and complement its existing valuation capabilities as it solicits and assesses proposals for new wholesale electricity generation and energy storage resources. CC Power is seeking 20+ year forecasts for hourly hub and nodal electricity prices, daily natural gas prices, and resource adequacy (RA) and renewable energy credit (REC) prices within the CAISO and WECC. Additionally, CC Power is interested in evaluating a valuation tool platform to ingest, process, and value hundreds of offers on a net present value basis using either these or its existing forecast assumptions.
